Emotion? by tempered-steel Emotion? by tempered-steel
I have always been absolutely fascinated about the human body, especially the eye. My camera has some pretty good macro capabilities, so I took a picture of my eye. I think it looks really cool. I used an unbelievably bright light source so sorry for the light reflection.

Human Eye Series - All pictures so far are of my eyes, just with different lighting and white adjustments

Aaah, that's so creepy! Is that how eyes look up close? How can people POSSIBLY think it's romantic to stare into each others' eyes, then?
It reminds me of a wallpaper, too.

Well, they look like that under certain lighting conditions. And usually when you are up close, your pupils are much more dilated than this.

Our eyes are something unique. More unique than our facial features, more unique than our fingerprints. Could they really say something about our personalities, something about who we are deep inside? I think so. Not the eyes and their patterns, but the expressions communicated through our eyes. Somehow, we are drawn to peoples eyes. Those little spherical balls of jelly can communicate in ways words cannot. Fear. Regret. Joy. Excitement. Close friends can even have whole conversations just by looking at each other. Anyway, looking deep into somebody's eyes is something intimate beyond measure, something that transcends our crude language, something that is pure.

Something I wrote a few years back...

:w00t!: I really not sure exactly how I did this...
I hooked up the brightest flashlight I had to a bit more batteries than it was designed for. My camera just has an AMAZING macro mode.

I don't know why, but that seriously scares the hell outta me. The..texture and..erg. I can imagine how gross that'd feel to the touch an- :fear:
..Which shows how great it is as a macro shot. =D You can clearly see all of the tissue, blood vessels and fibers constructing the eye. Excellent.

Yeah, my eyes are kind of weird. This was taken under a LED flashlight, so that is why the furrows and crypts look so distinguished from the rear part of the iris.

That is amazing!
I draw eyes more than photograph them...I am fascinated at how much emotion they can show and how detailed the iris can be. I am a major science freak and every time we study the eye in biology I am all attention towards the lesson lol.
If you do more eye pieces I'll be sure to look out fo them lol. This is being favorited lol
